We find the area that needs deep support.
For the knots that stretching, foam rolling, and time alone never touch: a precise release you can feel before you leave the room.
What It Is
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to create gentle heat inside soft tissue. It reaches deeper than a heating pad ever could, straight into the muscle where stiffness actually lives.
That deep heat supports blood flow to the area and helps ease inflammation and stiffness in tissue surface heat can’t touch. It’s a comfort and mobility tool, not a cure on its own.
We use it to complement your hands-on treatment, never to replace it. You’ve probably already tried resting it and hoping it would settle on its own, a reasonable first move. Ultrasound is simply another layer of support, built into the plan your Doctor of Physical Therapy already mapped out for you.

What It Helps
If stiffness sits too deep for a heating pad to touch, this is often why. Left alone, it tends to limit more than comfort: it starts to limit what you’re willing to do.

Supports your plan, it doesn’t replace it.
Questions, Answered
It’s more than a warm gel. Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to create real, measurable heat deep in the tissue, not just on the surface. That heat supports blood flow and helps ease stiffness and inflammation in tissue a heating pad can’t reach. It’s a support tool that works alongside your plan, not a standalone fix.
No. It’s completely painless. Most people just feel a gentle, comfortable warming sensation as the sound head moves over the area.
Typically, yes. Ultrasound is usually included as part of your regular PT visit rather than billed as its own service. We verify your exact benefits before your first session, so there’s no surprise on your bill. Questions before then? Call us at (502) 509-3136.
