We check in, then assess how you’re moving.
One-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit: a cause-first evaluation, hands-on care, and a plan built around why you hurt.
What It Is
At Focus Physical Therapy, every visit is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Not a tech. Not a rotating assistant reading off a chart. The same clinician who evaluates you is the one treating you, every time.
We start with a cause-first evaluation, not a generic checklist. Before we hand you a single exercise, we find out why your body is doing what it’s doing right now. Why your shoulder aches when you reach overhead. Why your knee complains on the stairs. Once we know the cause, we build your plan around it, not just the symptom.
That’s different from what a lot of people picture when they hear physical therapy. Not a printout of exercises to do alone at home. Not fifteen minutes of heat and ice while someone else works with another patient down the hall. Here, it’s hands-on care, real progress tracked visit to visit, and a plan with an endpoint.

Questions, Answered
No. Kentucky is a direct access state, so you can start physical therapy without a referral from a doctor. If your insurance requires one for reimbursement, we’ll help you sort that out. Nothing stops you from booking your first visit today.
You’ll be one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, every visit. That’s not a tagline. It’s how we schedule the day: no double-booking, no handing you off to an aide halfway through. The person who evaluates you is the one treating you, start to finish.
It depends on the cause, not just the symptom. That’s why we start with a cause-first evaluation before we ever build your plan. Most plans move through four phases: Pain, Prime, Perform, Prevent. After your first visit, we’ll tell you where you land and give you a real timeline, not a guess. Every plan has an endpoint. We’re not looking to see you forever. We’re looking to get you back to your life. Questions before then? Call us at (502) 509-3136.
