Dr. Renee Poirier

Dr. Renee Poirier grew up in Columbus, OH and lived in England for several years before graduating from Granville High School and moving to Louisville, KY. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky, then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Dayton in 2009.

She worked full-time in an orthopedic outpatient clinic until starting her family in 2015, then continued part-time in orthopedics, home health, and workers' compensation. Dr. Poirier joined Focus Physical Therapy in 2019 with an emphasis on scoliosis exercise treatment and manual therapy for orthopedic injuries, and has worked alongside Dr. Brad Conder since her first day.

She takes continuing education courses focused on manual therapy and spinal treatment, and specializes in treating spinal issues, shoulders, and hips — including scoliosis curvature, shoulder tendonitis and rotator cuff tears, cervical and lumbar stenosis, hip labral issues, and gluteal tendonitis.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Poirier loves horseback riding, spending time with family, and coaching her children's soccer teams.
